Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Silvus Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to participate in the software and firmware design and implementation for a set of world-class OFDM, and MIMO based products. Application space includes WLAN, WiMax and emerging cellular systems.

The selected individual will actively participate in all aspects of the product development process. Specifically, these responsibilities include: Software design and implementation for embedded communication systems and for customer demonstration applications.

Senior Electronics Technician

The Opportunity:

Silvus Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Electronics Technician to participate in the hardware design and implementation for a set of world-class OFDM, and MIMO based products. Application space includes WLAN, WiMax, and emerging cellular systems.

The selected individual will be part of a highly dynamic group that is at the forefront of delivering multi antenna based solutions to both the military and the commercial sectors. He/She will work closely with design engineers (both hardware and systems engineers) to ensure a high fidelity, reliable end solution.

This opportunity is well suited for an entrepreneurial-minded individual who is looking to take on greater and diverse challenges associated with a highly dynamic startup environment.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Electronic hardware (digital, analog and RF) testing and trouble-shooting
• Assembly, rework, and debugging of PCB boards
• Schematic capture and layout of simple boards, enclosures, etc.
• Define and perform reliability tests and other QA procedures
• Interface with outside vendors and fabrication houses to procure parts and to ensure timely delivery

Technical Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of typical laboratory test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.)
• Familiarity with soldering station
• Working knowledge of FPGA/CPLD design environments is a definite plus
• Prior exposure to wireless communication systems is a definite plus
