Wireless HD Video Product Brief

Silvus is currently developing a wireless HD Video solution. The IP solution will be a derivative of the current 802.11n IP solution and ongoing DARPA MIMO development. To meet the expectations of consumers for applications that demand higher data rates, such as HDTV (720p up to 1080i,) a wireless system must deliver very high throughputs. Coupled with achieving this throughput within the unlicensed 15M band requires improvements in the physical layer and the efficiency of the medium access control (MAC) layer, such that the throughput is closer to the raw data rate. In addition, Silvus will be deploying, in its solution, some advanced adaptations such as interference suppression, advanced MIMO technology and other advances currently in development.

Silvus' is currently focused on the challenging engineering task of enabling throughput in excess of 300M bit/sec in 20MHz to 40MHz of bandwidth that will be operational in a real world environment.
